AN AFTERNOON MAGICAL WINE TOUR OF NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE Join a local guide on a chauffeured tour to some of the winemaking pioneers in Niagara-On-The-Lake. Visit four outstanding boutique wineries including a tour of one and private wine tastings of award winning wines at each. Visit the newest winery in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Southbrook Vineyard, designed by famous architect Jack Diamond, for a tasting of some of their award winning wines. Next stop is Lailey Vineyard, a small, premium winery where our guests gain an insight into producing wine with a walk in the vineyard and a private tasting with the winemaker. Marynissen Estates, another premium winery with the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines in Canada, produces some of the finest red wines in the country. Reif Estates Winery has been producing wines for more than 300 years and offers our guests a private wine tasting in their barrel cellar or boutique. Other wineries may include: Caroline Cellars (excellent icewines); Riverview Cellars (award winning wines); and Frogpond Winery (Ontario’s only certified organic winery).
A WINE AND CULINARY ADVENTURE IN NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE Let yourself be pampered on a chauffeured tour to some of the area’s finest wineries. Marvel at the architecture on a visit to Niagara-On-The-Lake’s newest winery, Southbrook Winery, where guests enjoy a structured wine tasting experience. A private wine tasting in the boutique at Strewn Winery - renowned for its fine wines and cooking school - is followed by a three course lunch at the winery restaurant Terroir La Cachette combining French Provencal cooking with the best local ingredients. NIAGARA BY RAIL, LUNCH AND WINE TOUR
Take a leisurely train ride to Niagara Falls and spend a wonderful day on a private tour of wine country. A luxury passenger vehicle with local guide/chauffeur will meet you on arrival at the train station in Niagara Falls. First stop is a tour and wine tasting at Southbrook Winery, a magnificient new Niagara-On-The-Lake winery or at the world renowned Jackson-Triggs Winery. Strewn Winery is widely recognized for its fine wines and wine country cooking classes. Savor a tasting of fine wines before relaxing over a three course gourmet lunch at the winery restaurant, Terroir La Cachette, which features French Provencal style of cooking with the finest local ingredients. After lunch, sample fine wines at two small award winning wineries including Marynissen Estates Winery which produces some of the best red wines in the country and Lailey Vineyard where winemaker Derek Barnett takes our guests on a walking tour of the vineyard and conducts a private wine tasting in the barrel cellar. Your drive back to Niagara Falls will be along the famous Niagara Parkway – called “one of the prettiest Sunday drives in the world” – and, of course, there will be time to visit the world famous Falls before your train ride back to Toronto.
